INSTRUMENTATION SPECIALIST 4: Dallas, TX

Job Description: As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM's mission by: Performing some CAD drafting Designing medium to large projects, performing needs assessments, and preparing preliminary design reports (PDRs) under supervision Developing control loop descriptions and interfacing with process engineers Reviewing shop drawings and answering RFIs with minimal supervision Performing FATs (field acceptance tests) and field inspections Independently preparing the complete configuration and development of HMI system Independently completing moderate to advanced control strategies, including preparing control systems narratives Independently preparing advanced reports Developing and delivering training with minimal supervision Developing manuals with minimal supervision Leading the testing and startup team on small projects or specific process areas Assuming responsibility for testing and startup documentation completion and QA filing Beginning to mentor staff on technical work Managing I&C tasks with minimal supervision Under supervision, preparing LOE estimates Assisting with proposals and presentation preparation

Job Requirements: 5 - 7 years of applicable experience. As a design engineer performing field demonstration tests, 2 small projects. As an applications engineer, has performed field startup for 3 - 4 months. BS in engineering (electric or chemical preferred), computer science curriculum or equivalent 8 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
