Description: The Fort Worth, TX office is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to work on transportation sector work. This is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer position for a design/build project and will be co-located with the design/build team during the design and construction phase of the project. The Kleinfelder team will be serving as the owner's geotechnical engineer. Skills required for this position are above average communication skills, strong geotechnical and design engineering knowledge of retaining wall systems, cut/fill slopes, embankments, pavements, pavement subgrade, bridge support, sign and light standard supports, etc. are needed.
This person will be reviewing geotechnical reports, the geotechnical aspects of project plans and specifications prepared by the design engineering team employed by the design/builder, changes to the plans and specifications during construction, and end of construction reports.
Requirements:
Minimum 10+ years of related experience in consulting engineering firm or related service business. Texas PE or the ability to obtain in 3 months
Education: Bachelors degree in Civil engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education required. MS in geotechnical engineering desired.
