Description:
Kleinfelder is soliciting candidates to join our growing Surface Water Practice. We are seeking an industry leader in dam design and inspection with significant experience with earthen and concrete dam design, rehabilitation and dam removal. Candidates must be proficient in analysis and design of structures for dams and water resource projects including outlet works structures, hydraulic gates, armored spillways, and ancillary hydraulic and supporting structures. Interest and ability to mentor junior staff is strongly desired. The position does include significant client contact, interaction with dam owners and regulators and the supervision of other project team members. The role also encompasses business development activities, including proposal preparation and some limited marketing activities. This position could be filled anywhere in the US.

Requirements: The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in dam safety engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer or professional geologist. A strong working knowledge of geotechnical, hydrology and hydraulics fields as they relate to dam design and analysis and familiarity with FERC dam safety regulatory requirements is also required.
Education: B.S. in engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of experience and education required. M.S. preferred.
