ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROFESSIONAL/ENERGY ENGINEER: Dallas, TX Job Code: EMI-SD-158-SKS Division: EMI Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education: Bachelor's Degree Category: Engineering, Consulting Services, Energy/Utilities, Environmental Services Job Description: Tetra Tech EM Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech, is currently seeking an Energy Efficiency Professional/Energy Engineer to work out of Dallas, Texas. The selected candidate will service the customer's facilities located in a region comprised of 1/3 of the United States. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive operational efficiency services. Primary duties will focus on energy management and improving facility level operations and efficiency. Key action items include lighting efficiency improvements and conducting energy audits. Work will also include correcting utility billing errors, identifying energy efficiency projects, providing energy training, performing design reviews, analyzing energy and utilities data, recommending improvements to utility procurement and operations, and related duties. The candidate will conduct energy audits, identify energy conservation opportunities and help facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand, save money, and help the environment. The candidate will augment existing customer capabilities, work with both the customer and Tetra Tech in a team framework, and be an action agent to facilitate energy and cost savings. Job Requirements: 4-10 plus years of experience in energy management/engineering; strong lighting background; experience with energy auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, commissioning, and building/system optimization is required. Previous experience working at Federal / DOD facilities is a plus. Certified Energy Manager designation is preferred. Requires knowledge of utility information systems, energy management technologies and metering; excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills; proficient computer skills including the use of spreadsheets; especially Excel, and other database applications is required. The selected candidate must be able to work independently and produce high quality technical reports. BS in engineering or energy-related field is required.
