Responsibilities:
Tetra Tech, a national leader in watershed management and assessment, seeks water resources engineers and scientists interested in working closely with national leaders on a wide variety of planning, assessment, and modeling projects throughout the U.S. Key requirements of the position include a fundamental understanding of water management, hydrologic and ecological processes in lakes, rivers, estuaries and coastal environments; experience in task and project management and water resource planning; and experience in watershed and water quality modeling.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge and skills should include:
¥ Experience conducting watershed assessments and water quality related studies
¥ Experience conducting hydraulic and/or hydrologic & water quality modeling studies
¥ Experience with GIS and fundamental knowledge of mapping concepts
¥ Experience with data management and performing QA/QC
¥ Proficiency in the use Microsoft Excel, Access and other computer software for statistical analysis
¥ An ability to solve problems related to hydrology, hydraulics, hydrodynamics, and water quality
¥ An understanding of local, state, and federal water programs, regulations, and trends
Experience Requirements:
Required skills: Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in a related science or engineering field (advanced degree preferred) and 2 to 3 years relevant work experience. Proficiency with standard word processing, spreadsheet, and database software; and demonstrated oral and written communication and teamwork skill are necessary
