Our Pittsburgh, PA office is searching for an Entry to Mid Level Civil/Environmental Engineer. The successful candidate will possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of civil and/or environmental engineering to the completion of challenging assignments. Projects will include civil and environmental components and will be completed in accordance with RCRA, CERCLA, UST, CWA and other appropriate state and federal regulations. Candidate will support the hydrologic, hydraulic, and water resources-related aspects of civil and environmental projects. Candidate will also perform other project tasks involving site investigation, evaluation of remedial technologies, engineering design, and remediation operations on civil and environmental projects. Candidate may perform field assessment and remediation activities as directed by supervisor.

This position will have responsibilities that include performing project tasks in the public and private sector; conduct the hydrologic- and hydraulic-related analysis for the water resource aspects of environmental studies and engineering designs utilizing software such as HEC RAS, HEC HMS, WASP, TR-20, and TR-55; prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, construction specifications, engineering cost estimates, and direct the preparation of construction drawings; prepare proposals, subcontract specifications, and work plans; and provide technical direction and guidance to CADD operators, designers, technicians and field personnel.

Job Requirements:
We require a Bachelors Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or a related area. A Masters Degree is a plus. Engineer-in-Training certificate or Professional engineering license is desired. Direct experience in conducting hydrologic- and hydraulic-related analyses for the water resource aspects of environmental studies and engineering designs is also desirable. Experience and working knowledge of computer software for hydrology and hydraulic analysis and evaluation is desirable. The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively with other technical professionals. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher training is also desirable.
