ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER: Seattle, WA Job Code : SWW-SEA-PM Division : DIV Career Level : Experienced (Non-Manager) Education : Bachelor's Degree Category : Engineering Responsibilities - Position will have project management, and business development responsibilities. Projects include flood control, river erosion and restoration, geomorphology and sediment transport, levee design, dam rehabilitation and watershed management. Primary clients include U.S Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Counties, and Municipalities in Pacific Northwest. Provide hydraulic analysis and design of proposed facilities including levees, channels, grade control and bank stabilization structures; hydraulic structures such as culverts, pipes, and weirs; in-stream restoration features including bio-engineered projects. Prepare engineering designs, plans, specifications, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and comprehensive design reports for all of the above features. Serves as primary contact with the client and manages projects to meet client requirements and expectations. Job Requirements : Requirements - BS in civil engineering or other closely related field + 10 years professional experience or MS in civil engineering or other closely related field + 8 years of experience. Professional Registration and certificate. Requires PM training. Must have valid driver's license and good driving record, with ability to operate a 2wd, 4wd vehicles. Previous Experience - Familiarity with Water Resources related work for federal, state and local agencies in the Pacific Northwest area preferred. At least 8 years experience with hydrologic, hydraulic and geomorphic evaluation and documentation primarily on northwest rivers and stream systems and familiarity with federal hydrologic and hydraulic models such as HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-GeoHMS, SITES, SAM, HEC-6 and WinTR-20. Familiarity with other proprietary models (e.g. FLO-2D) is a plus. Familiarity with civil design related work for federal, state and local agencies with experience with preparation of design drawings, specifications, cost estimates and comprehensive design reports. Familiarity with Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) products such as AutoCAD or Microstation is a requirement Experience in supervising multi-disciplinary teams with engineers, biologists, economists, geomorphologists, and planners and a minimum of 5 years project management experience. Individual must demonstrate strong leadership, management, business development, communication, technical, organizational, and supervisory skills.
