Job Description :
INCA Engineers, a Tetra Tech Company has an opening for a Structural Engineer in our New Orleans project office.

We are looking for talented staff structural engineer with experience in the analysis and design of concrete and steel structures to assist with our ongoing projects, including hurricane/flood protection in New Orleans, a concrete pier in Tacoma, navigation locks on the Mississippi River, and bridge/retaining wall designs for Sound Transit. Experience with marine structures is desirable. The successful candidate will complete structural design calculations, feasibility studies, conceptual design reports, design analysis reports, criteria development, design/installation drawings with specifications and data sheets, technical evaluations, and development of material and installation cost estimates.

Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be willing to work directly with various customers providing excellent service. The successful candidate must be able to work well with supervision and coworkers and provide a positive contribution to the work environment. The successful candidate will assist senior-level engineers and project managers with design document preparation, data compilation and evaluation, technical report writing and field work related to specific projects.
Job Requirements :

Qualified candidates will have 5 to 10 years in engineering with significant experience preparing structural calculations. Must have proven team experience in supporting small and large projects from inception to project closeout and be able to resolve conflicts and provide solutions in a professional manner to the satisfaction of a wide variety of clients. Solid writing and communication skills required. Candidate must have familiarity with relevant design codes, including AISC, ACI, IBC, and ASCE. Position requires bachelor's degree in engineering. MS preferred. Professional Engineering registration preferred.
