Job Description:

We currently have several opportunities for Marine Mapping and Geophysical Surveying support. Candidates will assist in field work, collecting barometric (single and multibeam) and other geophysical data, as well as processing, interpreting and report preparation. Work will also include sediment sampling, and other field and office work (logging soils, sampling soils & water). Candidate experience may range from 1-10 years and duties will vary depending on level. A Bachelor's Degree in Soil Science, Geology or a related field or equivalent experience is required. We are seeking candidate with experience in any/all of the following software: Hypack/HySweep, CARIS, Fledermaus, SonarWiz, Oasis Montaj; as well as Microsoft Office and general computer skills. Programming experience is a plus. Sidescan, and single and multibeam sonar mapping experience desired; Magnetometer, sidescan, and subbottom data collection and interpretation experience is desired; as well as sediment sampling with vibracores, gravity cores, and surface sediment equipment. Candidates must be physically fit to work long hours in the field and lift heavy objects (50 lbs). Applicants must be available to travel to project sites for extended periods (4 - 6 weeks) and work long hours during these assignments.
