Our Aiken, SC office is searching for an Environmental Scientist/Engineer/Compliance Manager who will provide management and technical support to clients in the planning, coordination, development, implementation, interpretation and evaluation of environmental documentation. The successful candidate will supervise environmental compliance inspections or monitoring programs, field sampling and data collection at a wide variety of client sites. This position will act as Project Manager and assist other Project Managers on all aspects of environmental/ecological compliance and investigations. This senior level position will also analyze and evaluate field investigations by event (e.g., incident, daily and weekly) and involve travel to a variety of client locations and possibly long term field assignments (6 months or greater).

Job Requirements:

We require a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years experience or 10 to 15 years commensurate work experience in a science or environmental engineering related field and knowledge of environmental regulations. Field environmental compliance experience in natural gas pipeline line of work (FERC environmental inspector, FERC compliance monitor, FERC compliance program) and working knowledge of FERC compliance inspection and FERC compliance monitoring programs is required. Knowledge of the commercial utility industry (nuclear, gas, coal generation facilities and associated transmission facilities) is required. Certified in technical environmental areas (e.g., erosion control, wetlands, soil) are also considered a plus.
