We enjoy high profile, premier design projects and thrive on the resulting personal and professional opportunities. We currently have an opening for a Vertical Structures Specialist. Candidates must be willing and available to work for 1 year on an assignment in Afghanistan.
This position presents a unique opportunity to work with an exceptional team of engineering and design professionals. Primary responsibilities include
* Supervising of all engineering and architectural activities related to buildings, and coordinating the support activities of the other engineering specialists as needed;
* Coordinating specific reach back tasks with the US home office support staff;
* Responsible for planning, design, design review, and existing buildings inspections for all building structures;
* Engaging in training and mentoring programs for those local national staff.
The ideal candidate must possess:
Candidates must meet eligibility requirements to work both in the US and abroad. Prior experience working on US Government agency contracts is desirable.
* Bachelor of Science or equivalent;
* A Registered Architecture (RA) or Professional Engineering (PE) license;
* A minimum of 10 years of previous experience with engineering design for building projects
* Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
